看到这里, 我开始为 Jeff 叫冤, 他只是一时 crossed the line, 不是么.
当 Jeff 在向 Hayley 请求妥协时, 他无比诚恳地说:
" If you cut me in any way you won't forget it. It changes you when you hurt somebody. Do you wanna remember this day when you're with a guy? On a date? Or on your wedding night? 'Cause I promise you you will. Don't do that to yourself."
细听就会感受到, 表面上这是 Jeff 在为 Hayley 着想, 让她避免这种伤害, 其实, 他道出的正是那些被伤害过的女孩子的心理. 而不同的是, 他把伤害的原因归结到那些女孩身上. " Don't do that to yourself." 仿佛一切都是她们自己造成的. 仿佛那些 predators 都是无辜的, 像 Jeff 一样是被钓上钩的.
并不是每个少女都像 Hayley 这么聪明成熟, 也不是每个少女都懂得像她这样保护自己. 所以Hayley 悲痛地向 Jeff 喊出下面这段对白后, 我开始理解事情不是这么简单.
" Who? The pedophiles! 'Oh, she was so sexy. She was asking for it.' 'She was only technically a girl, she acted like a woman.' It's just so easy to blame a kid, isn't it! Just because a girl knows how to imitate a woman, does NOT mean she's ready to do what a woman does.
I mean, you're the grown up here. If a kid is experimenting and says something flirtatious, you ignore it, you don't encourage it. If a kid says 'Heeey, let's make screwdrivers' you take the alcohol away and you don't race them to the next drink! "
整部影片节奏紧凑, 画面干净. 没有一刻血腥的镜头却让人看得喘不过气来. 光线运用的极好. 从刚开始的暖色调到后来的冷暗, 变化得十分精彩.
演员也很棒. 整个片子几乎就是两主角的表演, 没别的配角, 看他们近两小时却不会感到一丝无聊. 演 Hayley 的小演员 Ellen Page 有着让人难忘的眼神, Jeff 在试着用心理战术感化她时她从装着相信到识破把戏放声冷笑的那幕真是让人看得背后冒冷汗. 演 Jeff 的 Patrick Wilson 也很出色. 根本认不出来他是 《The Phantom of the Opera》里那个温柔善良的 Raoul.
